We are sad to say that we lost Contadina. She had just finished her championship this summer and had given us some beautiful and very promising kids. She will live on in her 2 daughters that we have in the herd. She is one of those does that left us much too early.

Contadina was acquired from the beautiful Lassenwood herd along with her maternal half sister Concordia. Contadina is a huge doe with a tremendous amount of width and depth and power throughout. She has a beautiful level topline with a very level and wide rump. She has a beautiful capacious mammary system that is high and wide in the rear. We would like to see better teat placement and are careful that we breed her to a buck that throws good teat placement. Contadina received her first leg toward her championship as a first freshening 2 year old in 2007. We are very proud of her. Contadina finished her championship this year as a second freshening 2 year old earning her last 2 legs.

Her daughter from this 2007, Pella's Triple C Celeste sired by Lassenwood Ozzie Niko is a huge doeling. Celeste received her dry leg early on in the show season. We love this doe's width and depth and her beautiful breed character. Contadina's doe kid from this year is no slouch. She is a stunning doeling with beautiful dairy character, and length and levelness, combined with width and depth throughout. She was also the first kid to earn her dry leg even though she is the youngest.
